Four women were killed in Ukrainian airstrikes on the village of Smorodino, in the Grayvoronsky district of the Belgorod region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov announced.
The strike was aimed at a social institution and it was noted that there may be people left under the rubble. The building of the social institution was destroyed, and a commercial facility was destroyed by fire. Clearing the debris is complicated by the activity of enemy drones.
Ukrainian fighters have been shelling the border areas almost daily. Since August 2024, an anti-terrorist operation has been underway in the Belgorod region, and the situation there has been declared a federal state of emergency.
