The rally of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party in Belgrade attracted approximately 70,000 people, the country's Interior Ministry reported.
According to the ministry, approximately 32,000 participants are in the Belgrade Arena, and another 38,000 are in the surrounding area.
In addition, approximately 2,000 motorcyclists are participating in the event, accompanying President Aleksandar Vucic's motorcade on its way to the arena.
The Interior Ministry stressed that the event was "properly coordinated in advance" with the relevant authorities, which allowed the police to plan and implement the necessary security measures in advance.
The ministry noted that the rally "went peacefully and without incidents", citing this as evidence of the effectiveness of preventive measures and the professional work of the police in interacting with citizens.
Vucic is expected to address the rally participants.
