A Turkish soldier and two employees of the Turkish defense company “Aselsan“ died in a helicopter crash in Qatar yesterday, Reuters reported, citing the Turkish Defense Ministry, BTA reported.
Earlier, the Qatari Interior Ministry reported that six people died after a helicopter crashed in Qatari territorial waters. The ministry added that there were seven people on board the helicopter, with six of them confirmed dead.
Rescue operations are continuing to search for one person, identified as a pilot by the Qatari army.
The aircraft crashed due to a technical problem during a training flight, the Turkish ministry added.
Qatari authorities will conduct an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash, the statement said.
