Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that according to intelligence data, Russian forces may be preparing a massive strike today, Ukrinform reported, referring to the evening video address of the Ukrainian head of state, BTA reported.
"Please pay special attention to air alert signals today. There are intelligence reports that Russian forces may be preparing a massive strike. Corresponding instructions have already been issued to our air defense forces. Please protect yourself and Ukraine," Zelensky said.
Earlier, the Ukrainian president said that Russia planned to further deploy long-range drone control stations both in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territory and in Belarus.
Russian forces regularly carry out air strikes on Ukrainian cities, mainly at night, including the capital Kiev, Reuters notes. Energy infrastructure has repeatedly been targeted in their attacks, the agency said.
