There were drone attacks in Iraqi Kurdistan tonight, DPA reported, BTA reported.
Erbil, the capital of the autonomous Kurdish region, was targeted by attacks with about 20 drones, the agency said.
Significant damage was caused to civilian buildings in several neighborhoods due to falling debris.
There are no reports of deaths or injuries so far. It is also unclear who is responsible for the attacks.
Since the war in the Middle East began with the US-Israeli strikes on Tehran on February 28 of this year, Iran has increasingly targeted Iranian-Kurdish groups located on Iraqi territory. Some of the recent attacks in Iraq have been attributed to armed groups allied with Iran, DPA reports.
