Iran said today that possible attacks on its civilian infrastructure, as threatened by US President Donald Trump, would constitute war crimes, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.
"The US president, in his capacity as the most important representative of his country, publicly threatened to commit war crimes," said on the social network "Ex" Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi.
Donald Trump threatened yesterday to attack power plants and bridges in Iran if Tehran does not open the strategic Strait of Hormuz.
US President Donald Trump hinted that the United States would destroy Iranian power plants and bridges on Tuesday - a day after the expiration of an ultimatum he gave Tehran to open the Strait of Hormuz, Reuters reported.
Earlier, Trump reminded Iran that it had 48 hours to make a deal. When he gave the ultimatum, he warned Tehran that if the Strait of Hormuz, which is vital to international oil trade, was not opened, he would destroy Iranian power plants.
"Tuesday will be Power Plants Day and Bridges Day, all in one, in Iran. You've never seen anything like it!!!" Trump wrote on his social network "Truth Social". He again called on Iran to open the Strait of Hormuz, which it has effectively blocked since the start of the war in the Middle East on February 28, warning that otherwise massive strikes are coming.
"Open the Strait, you crazy sons of bitches, or you will burn in hell - JUST WATCH!", Trump also wrote, ending his Easter post with: "Glory to Allah."
