Iran has targeted US forces on the Kuwaiti island of Bubiyan, said the spokesman for the Central Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces “Khatam al-Anbiya“ Ebrahim Zolfaqari, quoted by Reuters, reported BTA.
Zolfaqari said that Iran had attacked satellite equipment and ammunition on the island with drones and added that US forces had been moved there from the Arifjan base, which has been repeatedly hit by Iran.
Bubiyan Island is the largest off the coast of Kuwait and is located in the northwestern Gulf.
The Kuwaiti Health Ministry earlier said that six people were injured by falling debris in a residential area in northern Kuwait after an Iranian attack.
Meanwhile, Israel said it had killed the intelligence chief of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), the Associated Press reported, citing a statement by Israel's Defense Minister. Israel Katz.
“The Revolutionary Guards are shooting at civilians and we are eliminating the leaders of the terrorists“, Katz said. “Iran's leaders live with the feeling that they are targets. We will continue to pursue them one by one“, he added.
Katz also said that Israel has also caused “serious damage“ to Iran's steel and petrochemical industries.
“We will continue to crush Iran's national infrastructure and contribute to the undermining and collapse of the terrorist regime and its capabilities to promote terror and to shell the State of Israel“, he added.
The IRGC confirmed that the organization's intelligence chief, Major General Majid Kademi, was killed early this morning, but did not provide further details, DPA reported.
