The White House today denied rumors that the US could use nuclear weapons against Iran, Agence France-Presse reported, BTA reported.
The White House wrote on the social network "Ex", in response to a post by a profile associated with former Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, that Vice President J.D. Vance had said nothing that would give the impression that nuclear weapons could be used.
The publication to which the White House reacted reads as follows: "J.D. Vance is not backing down from his words after Trump's new statement, which says that "an entire civilization will perish tonight" and makes it clear that Trump can use nuclear weapons".
US President Donald Trump said today regarding Iran that "an entire civilization will perish tonight", Reuters reported.
"This civilization will never come back. I don't want it to happen, but it probably will", he added in a post on his social platform "Truth Social".
Thus, Trump warned Iran of what would follow if Tehran did not accept by the end of today the US proposal for an agreement on the conflict that began on February 28 with the US-Israeli strikes on Tehran.
"We will find out tonight - one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the world. Maybe some revolutionary miracle will happen - who knows?!", Trump said.
