President Volodymyr Zelensky said that the weakening of sanctions and political pressure from Ukraine's partners on Russia has led to a partial strengthening of the aggressor's military ambitions, and therefore Ukraine will counter this by increased use of drones at the front, Ukrinform reported the content of the president's post on Telegram, BTA reports.
"We are conducting a detailed analysis of Russia's updated military plans. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has a clear understanding of what exactly the enemy is planning and what priorities are set for the Russian army by the political leadership of Russia. We will counter it. Unfortunately, the reduction of sanctions and political pressure from our partners on the aggressor has led to a partial increase in Russia's military ambitions. However, our long-term sanctions, the increasing use of drones on the front line, and the active actions of our units will provide the necessary responses to the occupier. Today I approved the list of our next operations," Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian president also noted that Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky and Chief of the General Staff Andriy Gnatov reported on the most effective units at the front.
"We also identified the priority supply needs of the front, which must be met immediately. I thank every soldier, sergeant and officer for defending our country and our people,“ the president added.
