Tehran on Trump's extended ceasefire: The losing side cannot dictate conditions. The blockade is equal to bombing - 1

Washington's announced extension of the ceasefire with Iran is a tactic and will allow it to prepare a new surprise attack on Iran, said Mahdi Mohammadi, an advisor to the speaker of Iran's parliament.

“Extension of the ceasefire means nothing“, he wrote in X. He believes that the US, as the losing side, “cannot dictate conditions“. In addition, Mohammadi believes that “the continuation of the blockade of Iranian ports is no different from bombing and must be met with a military response“.

“The extension of the ceasefire is certainly a tactic to buy time for a surprise attack on Iran“, he claims.

Iran believes that several countries in the region are responsible for the attacks on the territory of the Islamic Republic during the military operations and are obliged to pay compensation for the damage caused, Iranian Ambassador to Tunisia Mir Masoud Hosseinian told TASS.

“Of course, compensation must be paid not only by the aggressor, but also by those who supported him“, the ambassador said. He said that “some Arab countries in the region were directly involved“ in the military actions against Iran, “providing their territory for American military bases from which Iran was attacked“. The Iranian diplomat stressed that these countries “also participated in the financing“ of this operation, “providing fuel and electricity to American and Israeli warplanes“.

“Therefore, all of them are responsible and complicit in the aggression against Iran and must pay compensation to Tehran“, the agency's source emphasized.

At the same time, he emphasized that “despite all this, Iran is not taking any measures based on escalating tensions“.

A possible agreement between the US and Iran would only be “an illusion of an agreement“ if the deal is not included.

Iran is participating in negotiations with the United States “with its finger on the trigger“ and is ready to defend its land and people by all means necessary, Hosseinian said.

“Iran is participating in the negotiations, which we call “armed negotiations“, because we do not trust the American side,“ he said. “We are participating in the negotiations with our fingers on the trigger, ready to defend our land and people by all means necessary. The Iranian leadership, the Iranian people and the Iranian armed forces are in a state of full readiness and are ready to confront the enemy in the streets, squares, front lines, missile ranges and in all areas,“, the diplomat stressed.

According to the ambassador, “Iran has demonstrated greater readiness than most countries to bear the consequences of this war, and now the international community must defend itself from this illegal war launched by the United States.“

Tehran considers the current crisis in relations with the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf to be temporary and is confident that they will return to their previous state, taking into account the lessons of the war, said Iranian Ambassador to Tunisia Mir Masoud Hosseinian.

According to him, Iran considers its relations with neighboring countries, especially with the Arab countries of the Persian Gulf, to be historic. "We are bound by common religious, cultural and even family ties. Iran has consistently adhered to a policy of good neighborliness. I believe that the current phase is temporary and will pass, and the friendly and brotherly relations between Iran and these countries will return to their previous state, taking into account the lessons to be learned from this war," he said.
