Preserving the G-8 would probably have avoided the current global problems, including the Ukrainian one, US Prime Minister Donald Trump told reporters at the White House.
„I have long said that when they turned the G-8 into the G-7, they excluded Russia. That was before me, Obama and Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau. I said that was a stupid decision and I was right“, said the American leader.
„It would have been much better if they had not excluded“, continued the White House chief.
„When they excluded Putin, it really hurt him and he is right. "I would say these problems wouldn't exist if they hadn't been ruled out," the US president stressed.
