Kirill Dmitriev, the Russian president's special representative for investment and economic cooperation with foreign countries, wondered how the EU would pay for Russian gas supplies after the ban on transactions involving Russian banks.
“How will the desperate EU pay for the Russian gas it will soon beg for?“, he wrote in X.
Earlier, the European Commission announced that the European Union was imposing a ban on transactions involving 20 Russian banks, as well as four financial institutions in third countries.
