Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf denied reports that there are serious disagreements within the country's leadership over further action against the United States, AFP reports.

"We do not have radicals or moderates in Iran. We are all Iranians and revolutionaries, and with the iron unity of the people and the state, with complete obedience to the Supreme Leader, we will make the criminal aggressor regret his actions," Pezeshkian wrote on a social media platform on Thursday.

Ghalibaf, who led the Iranian delegation to the talks with the United States in Islamabad, also posted an identical message on his account.

Earlier on Thursday, US President Donald Trump wrote on the social media platform TruthSocial that Iran was experiencing an "internal struggle between hardliners who are losing on the battlefield and moderates".

"The New York Times", citing sources, reported that Iran had not continued negotiations with the US in Islamabad due to the position of the Iranian military, despite Iranian President and Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi advocating for an agreement with Washington.

Iran International, citing sources also reported that disputes between Iranian leaders prevented an Iranian delegation from traveling to Islamabad for talks with the United States.

On April 11 and 12, US-Iranian talks were held in Islamabad. The Iranian delegation was led by Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf and Araghchi. The US side was represented by Vice President J.D. Vance, presidential envoy Steve Witkoff and Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner. The meeting failed to produce any results.

The next round of talks earlier this week did not take place.
