Putin: Many of Zhirinovsky's predictions are coming true today - 1

Many of the "predictions" of the founder of the LDPR Vladimir Zhirinovsky are now coming true, Russian President Vladimir Putin said.

“Many of his, as they now say, assessments of the future, forecasts, are coming true“, Putin told the news agency “Vesti“ in the documentary on “Russia 1“ “Vladimir Zhirinovsky“.

Zhirinovsky led the LDPR for more than 30 years and was a deputy of the State Duma in all eight convocations. He died on April 6, 2022 after a long illness. He was 75 years old. This year, on April 25, Zhirinovsky would have turned 80.

The day before, Putin visited an exhibition at the Manege Central Exhibition Hall dedicated to Zhirinovsky's 80th anniversary.

All of LDPR founder Vladimir Zhirinovsky's "predictions" were based on his deep knowledge, Putin said. "At first glance, this is surprising. I don't think there's anything unusual about it, because all of his predictions were based on his knowledge of the topic he was discussing," the president of the Vesti news agency said in the Rossiya 1 documentary "Vladimir Zhirinovsky."

Putin noted that Zhirinovsky is well-educated and able to clearly express his thoughts. The president called him one of the most brilliant politicians of our time.

Russian President Vladimir Putin called Vladimir Zhirinovsky, founder of the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR), one of the most brilliant politicians of our time, noting that he combines the incompatible, being both a master of deep analysis and scandalous behavior. “This year would have been the 80th anniversary of the birth of Vladimir Volfovich Zhirinovsky. He was undoubtedly one of the most brilliant politicians of our time. "He was a master of both profound analysis and outrageous behavior, a remarkable orator, politician and organizer," Putin said in the documentary "Vladimir Zhirinovsky."

He combined many things that at first glance seem incompatible. But that was Zhirinovsky," the Russian president added.
