Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi arrived from Islamabad in Muscat, the capital of Oman, Iranian news agency Tasnim reported.
During his visit, the minister will meet with senior Omani officials to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.
Earlier today, Araghchi held talks with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir. The main topic was the conveying of the official “considerations and demands“ of Iran to achieve a ceasefire.
Araghchi and the Iranian Foreign Ministry categorically denied that direct talks with representatives of Washington were planned.

In a speech to diplomats in Tehran, Araghchi said that Iran is ready to resume nuclear negotiations, but only if there are “firm guarantees“ that there will be no new attacks on the country and its facilities.
The situation remains tense due to the ongoing blockade of Iranian ports by the US and new sanctions against Tehran's oil sector, imposed a day earlier. Pakistan continues to play the role of a key mediator in these indirect negotiations.
