Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum expressed relief that US President Donald Trump and his wife, First Lady Melania Trump, are safe after shots were fired at an event in Washington.
“Violence should never be an option“, Sheinbaum said on X.
In response to this opinion, Venezuela's acting President Delcy Rodriguez said on X: “Violence is never an option for those who uphold the values of peace.“
“We categorically condemn the attempted attack on President Donald Trump and his wife, Melania Trump.
We extend our best wishes to them and all the participants in the Correspondents' Dinner,“ Rodriguez said in the same post.
