Donald Trump: Chancellor Merz should stop interfering in the Iranian issue - 1

US President Donald Trump criticized German Chancellor Friedrich Merz and indicated that he should focus on trying to end the war between Russia and Ukraine and waste “less time interfering“ in efforts to deal with the “Iranian nuclear threat“, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.

In recent days, Trump has been arguing with Merz about the war in Iran. On Tuesday, the US president said Merz did not know what he was talking about after the German leader said the Iranians were humiliating the US in talks to end the war in the Middle East, which has been going on for two months.

“The German Chancellor should spend more time ending the war between Russia and Ukraine (which she has been completely ineffective at so far!) and fixing her broken country, especially on immigration and energy, and less time meddling in the affairs of those who are getting rid of the Iranian nuclear threat, thus making the world, including Germany, a safer place!“, Trump said on his social network Truth Social.

US President Donald Trump asked ABC television when comedian Jimmy Kimmel would be fired and added that "it better be soon", Reuters reported.

Trump raised this issue in a post on his social network "Truth Social" a few days after his wife Melania Trump called on the television station to remove Kimmel for a sketch that aired before the White House Correspondents' Dinner, which a gunman tried to storm.

In the sketch, which was dedicated to the social event, Kimmel said that the first lady would "warm up like a future widow".

After the drama that unfolded at the dinner itself, Trump accused Kimmel of incitement to murder.

"Jimmy Kimmel… made a truly shocking statement on his show. "A day later, a lunatic attempted to enter the White House Correspondents' Dinner ballroom armed with a rifle, a pistol and multiple knives," Trump wrote in Truth Social earlier this week.

The comedian described his remarks as a well-intentioned joke about the couple's age difference, adding that his joke "was in no way intended to be a call to murder."

The American television network ABC in September temporarily suspended its "Jimmy Kimmel Live" show over comments the popular comedian made about the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was a Trump ally. Kimmel's removal from the air at the time drew criticism from the public, some of Hollywood's biggest stars and a number of political figures. They accused the Trump administration of restricting freedom of speech and the press. As a result of the outcry, Kimmel returned to television five days after being removed.
