“I really think that the end of the war in Ukraine is very close“, Trump told reporters as he left the White House before leaving for a visit to China. With this, he effectively repeated an earlier statement by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
The US leader also commented on the situation in Venezuela, saying that he would work for the release of all remaining political prisoners in the country. He expressed support for interim President Delcy Rodriguez.

According to data cited by international media, hundreds of prisoners have been released since the political changes in early January, but about 500 people still remain behind bars, according to non-governmental organizations.
