A US Air Force Boeing B-52 Stratofortress strategic bomber crashed shortly after takeoff from Edwards Air Force Base in California today, base officials said, quoted by the Associated Press.
Rescue teams immediately arrived at the scene of the plane crash, which occurred at about 11:20 a.m. local time, the US military said in Ex.
There are no reports of casualties so far. The B-52 bombers usually have a crew of five.
Edwards Air Force Base is located 161 km north of Los Angeles, the AP reports.
