Trump's envoy is back in Ukraine! US inspects damage from Russian attacks on Odessa - 1

Former US President Donald Trump's special representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg arrived on an official visit to the country, reports European Truth.

Together with First Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Serhiy Derkach, the US representative inspected the Odessa Commercial Sea Port to get a closer look at the damage from the systematic Russian attacks on the port infrastructure.

During the inspection, issues related to shipping security, the functioning of the Ukrainian Sea Corridor and the protection of export logistics were discussed. Derkach emphasized the importance of the visit, stating: ''It is important for us that American partners can directly see the conditions in which Ukrainian ports operate. Despite the systematic Russian attacks, we continue to ensure the functioning of the sea corridor. Our task is to strengthen the protection of ports together with partners, to support safe shipping and the sustainability of Ukrainian logistics.

The main focus of the talks was also the opportunities for American investment in the restoration of the transport sector. Attention was focused on specific projects for public-private partnership in the field of port, road and rail infrastructure, as well as on the activation of the US-Ukraine Recovery Investment Fund.

Former special representative of US President Donald Trump for Ukraine Keith Kellogg said that for the first time since 2023, Ukrainian forces are beginning to gain an advantage over Russia in the war. According to him, the turnaround is due to successful and precise Ukrainian strikes with long ranges against Russian oil and energy infrastructure.

Kellogg held the post of special envoy of the US head of state until the end of last year. According to informed sources, his decision to resign was prompted by his disappointment with the actions of his colleagues in the Washington administration, whose policies favored Russian interests.
