A man armed with a knife wounded several passers-by yesterday in the town of Zoffingen, northern Switzerland, after which he was arrested, the police in the canton of Aargau said, quoted by France Press, reported NOVA.
The identity and motive of the attacker, as well as the number of injured, have not yet been announced.
The man first attacked a passer-by at the train station in Zoffingen, a town of about 12,000 inhabitants about 60 km south of Basel and west of Zurich.
He later attacked several more people, apparently at random, before hiding in a house, according to a police press release.
After about two hours and after a specialized team entered into negotiations with the attacker, he was arrested. The attacker was also injured, the police said.
