Polish Minister of National Defense Wladyslaw Koszyniak-Kamysz condemned today, in his words, the "provocation" by Russia, after a Russian drone fell and exploded in a field in eastern Poland at night, without causing casualties, reported Agence France-Presse, quoted by BTA.
"Once again, we are faced with a provocation by the Russian Federation with a Russian drone. This is happening at a key moment when peace negotiations (in Ukraine) are underway," Koszyniak-Kamysz told journalists.
The object that fell in a cornfield in eastern Poland at night was a "Shahed" drone Russian-made, Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Pawel Wronski said, quoted by Reuters.
Poland has been monitoring objects entering its airspace with particular attention since a errant Ukrainian missile fell on the Polish village of Przewodów in 2022, killing two locals, Reuters recalls.
