China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has revealed intriguing details about the upcoming addition to BYD's Ocean series: Seal X. While the "X" in its name is temporary, the details point to a departure from the bright design elements of the model from which it was inspired - the Ocean-M.
This model promises flexibility with two different drive options. The base variant will have a single electric motor on the rear axle, providing 215 hp. For those who crave more performance, a twin-motor configuration is also in the works, offering a solid 416 horsepower. Both versions will be equipped with Blade lithium iron phosphate batteries supplied by FinDreams.
With growing anticipation for the Seal X's official debut, enthusiasts await further details on its final specs and comprehensive specifications.
