The National Assembly is expected to vote on the resignation of the "Zhelyazkov" cabinet as the first item today.

The resignation has been submitted and is the first item on the parliament's agenda on Friday, GERB leader Boyko Borisov announced yesterday in a Facebook post from the party's headquarters. According to him, there will be no reformatting of the cabinet.

On Thursday, before the deputies voted on the sixth vote of no confidence in the government - for failing to deal with economic policy, at a briefing in the National Assembly, Prime Minister Zhelyazkov announced that he was submitting his resignation to the Council of Ministers, and it was later submitted to the parliament's registry.

Our desire is to be at the level that society expects. Power stems from the sovereign and the voice of the people, explained the decision by Rosen Zhelyazkov.

Zhelyazkov was elected Prime Minister on January 16 this year with 125 votes "for", "against" - 114, with no "abstentions".

The adopted work program of the deputies includes the regular Friday parliamentary control. It is planned that Deputy Prime Minister Grozdan Karadjov and Ministers Krasimir Valchev, Manol Genov, Petar Dilov, Zhecho Stankov, Temenuzhka Petkova and Georg Georgiev will participate in it.
