The Bulgarian Food Safety Agency (BFSA) announces a voluntary withdrawal from the market of limited batches of infant formula milk NAN 1. The measure covers several countries and is entirely preventive. It was taken after the presence of Bacillus cereus bacteria was detected on one of the production lines in the factory where the affected batches were made.

There are no reports of registered cases of illness related to the consumption of the affected products. Their withdrawal from the Bulgarian market by the manufacturing company is under the control of the BFSA. The company has also announced the risky products on its website in accordance with the requirements of the regulatory framework.

The affected products have an expiration date of October 2027, with the full name and batch number:

NAN OPTIPRO 1 (12x400g) 52870346A B

NAN COMFORTIS 1 (6x800g) 52820346A E

NAN OPTIPRO 1 (6x800g) 52850346A C
