The Acting Minister of the Interior Kalin Stoyanov increased by his order the individual basic monthly salaries of civil servants under the Civil Servant Act in Ministry of the Interior. He announced this through a post on Facebook.
The basic monthly salary is increased by a specific amount, for the corresponding level of basic monthly salary, Stoyanov points out.
With another order, the Minister of the Interior increased by BGN 100 the food portion for civil servants under the Law on the Ministry of Internal Affairs and for those working under employment law. As of 01.01.2024, from BGN 200, the portion becomes BGN 300.
The increase in the food ration, as well as the wages, accumulated since January 1, will be paid with the wages for the month of May 2024, Kalin Stoyanov points out.
At its last meeting, the government approved additional spending on the budget of the Ministry of the Interior and six other ministries. The goal is to overcome disparities in staff remuneration in budgetary organizations, including to increase staff remuneration, with the funds being provided at the expense of the planned costs of the central budget for 2024.
On the budget of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the cabinet approved BGN 67,646,357
The Council of Ministers also adopted a Decree approving additional expenses under the budget of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for 2024. The funds in the amount of BGN 20,000,000 are for ongoing repairs of buildings in the Ministry of Internal Affairs system.
