Levski and national football team defender Kristian Dimitrov is dropped from Bulgaria's squad due to adductor problems, which will prevent him from taking part in the upcoming two matches of the FIFA Series 2026 tournament in Indonesia, the Bulgarian Football Union informed, BTA reported.
Earlier today, the defender appeared at the start of the national team's camp, and was given a thorough examination by the national team's medical staff. After consulting with Dr. Zdravko Taralov and after a conversation with the coach Alexander Dimitrov, it was assessed that Dimitrov's condition would not allow him to participate in the upcoming two matches.
No other player will be called up in his place, the Bulgarian Football Union added.
Kristian Dimitrov was a starter for Levski in yesterday's 2:1 victory over Cherno More, but was substituted towards the end of the match.
Two days ago it became clear that Iliya Gruev and Lukas Petkov were also dropped from the Bulgarian national team and would not travel to Jakarta.
