CSKA officially appointed Hristo Zahariev as the chief methodologist of the Academy, this was announced by the club's official website.

In recent months, he has been part of the structure of the "army men", actively knowing in detail the internal processes of the Academy and participating in its operational management and methodological development.

Hristo Zahariev is a well-known name in CSKA, having gained serious experience as an analyst and assistant coach over the years, Topsport reports.

He worked at the CSKA Academy and in the under-19 team in the period January 2020 - August 2021, and in 2022 he returned to the club as an analyst, including in the men's representative team. He was also part of Alan Pardew's staff during the specialist's time at the helm of the first team.

His professional path also includes international experience as an analyst at Aris Thessaloniki, as well as work at various clubs in Bulgaria - as an assistant coach at Belasitsa (Petrich), Litex and Montana, as well as a fitness coach at Levski Lom. In September 2025, he was also part of the staff of the second and third teams of CSKA.

Hristo Zahariev underwent training and licensing programs in the UK, and in 2019 he specialized in Barcelona, Spain.

His appointment as chief methodologist is part of CSKA's long-term strategy to upgrade the methodological framework in the Academy, unify the game principles in all age groups and implement modern analytical and training practices.

The club wishes Hristo Zahariev success in his new responsible role and believes that his knowledge, international experience and knowledge of the internal structure will contribute to the sustainable development of young talents in the CSKA Academy.
