The Bulgarian U19 national team lost 0:1 to the host Croatia in their second match of the Euro 2027 qualifiers. The only goal in the match was scored by Raulf Kumar in the 84th minute. The match was played at the city stadium in Krizhevtsi, BTA reports. The Croatians had a great chance to take the lead in the first half after being awarded a penalty in the 30th minute, but Tino Kusanovic was unable to score after his shot was saved by Bulgarian goalkeeper Ognyan Vladimirov.

The decisive moment came shortly before the end, when Kumar took advantage of a corner kick and sent the ball into the goal for the final 1:0.

This is the second loss for the Bulgarian team, which lost to England 1:4 in its first match and remains in last place in the group. In its last match of the tournament, on Tuesday, Bulgaria will face Spain in Kotoriba.

The first three teams in the group continue to the next round in League “A“, while the last one moves to League “B“, retaining a chance of qualifying. The qualification format will consist of three stages, with the winners of the seven groups in the final round securing a place in the finals in the Czech Republic.
