The President of the Bulgarian Football Union Georgi Ivanov reacted to the criticism and ironic comments on social networks after the national team's convincing 10:2 victory over the Solomon Islands. His position was published on the official website of the headquarters. Ivanov stressed that although social networks give everyone the right to express an opinion, when it comes to the national team, more responsibility and respect must be shown. He noted that criticism is an inevitable part of football, regardless of the results, but should not cross the line of good manners.
According to him, the players are working under excellent conditions and demonstrate professionalism, discipline and dedication. The President emphasized the fact that the current squad is in the process of being built and the young players are making efforts not only for immediate results, but also for the future of the team.
Georgi Ivanov also drew attention to the FIFA Series tournament, which provides an opportunity for development and international practice outside the standard calendar. According to him, participating in it is a valuable chance to gain experience and confidence.
