President Iliana Yotova will be Patron of the World Championships for Athletes with Down Syndrome, which will be held from June 13 to 19 in Sofia.

The event is an important step towards the inclusion of diverse athletes and the affirmation of the values of equality, respect and solidarity. We are convinced that Sofia will host an unforgettable championship that will unite people from all over the world in the name of sport and human values“, said Slav Petkov, President of the Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (FAFA).
Ambassadors of the championship are two of the most beloved Bulgarian athletes - Olympic, world and European champion Carlos Nassar and the best native tennis player Grigor Dimitrov, and the faces of artistic and rhythmic gymnastics are Olympic vice-champions Krasimir Dunev and Boryana Kalein.
The World Championship, organized by FAFA, will feature over 400 athletes from more than 40 countries, who will compete in five disciplines - artistic and rhythmic gymnastics, tennis, table tennis and athletics.
