The Russian Air Defense Forces shot down 77 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over various regions of the country this night, the Defense Ministry announced.
42 drones were destroyed in the Saratov Region, 12 in the Rostov Region, 10 over Crimea, nine in the Volgograd Region, two in the Belgorod Region, and one each in Astrakhan and Chechnya.
Russian servicemen destroyed the positions of three units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in two districts of the Sumy Region, the security services of RIA Novosti reported.
„The positions of the 158th separate mechanized brigade, the 116th separate brigade of the territorial defense troops and a special company of the 225th "a separate assault regiment in the areas of Andreevka and Sadki was destroyed," the agency's source reported.
Sumy Oblast is part of the area of responsibility of the "North" group of forces. Its soldiers are also operating in part of the Kharkiv Oblast.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Defense, over the past 24 hours the group has attacked positions of the Ukrainian armed forces in several settlements in these regions, and Ukraine has lost over 285 soldiers.
