Explosions shook Chernigov amid air raid sirens, the TV channel „Obshchestvennoe“ reported.
„An explosion was heard in Chernigov“, the TV channel reported on Telegram.
Soon after, reports appeared of a second similar incident in the city. Air raid sirens were activated in part of the Chernigov region.
Overnight, Ukrainian media reported explosions in Kremenchuk. Authorities in Poltava region admitted that power facilities were damaged.
Russian troops had previously attacked Ukrainian power facilities linked to the military-industrial complex.
According to the Ministry of Energy of Ukraine, parts of Kyiv, Chernihiv, Lviv, Odessa, Rivne, Dnipropetrovsk, Mykolaiv and Kharkiv regions were left without electricity.
On Saturday, hourly power outage schedules were in effect in all Ukrainian regions. Local authorities confirmed damage to power facilities in Kyiv and Odessa regions. In Dnipropetrovsk, the Kryvyi Rih TPP was damaged.
There were reports of hits near the Starokonstantinov airport in Khmelnytskyi region. Railway infrastructure was hit in Fastiv, Kyiv region.
