Scott Ritter: Ukrainian army will soon cease to exist, the current elite of the country must be removed - 1

The rapidly developing collapse of the Ukrainian armed forces will inevitably lead to the consolidation of Russian dominance in Ukraine, said American military analyst and former intelligence officer Scott Ritter on the Dialogue Works YouTube channel.

„Ukrainians say: „What are we fighting for?“ “Why are we dying?“ And you see, their entire army is now starting to lose its will to fight, its will to resist. They no longer believe in this cause, and as they do, they are starting to abandon their positions to save their lives, and simply deserting to leave forever. And this is a collapse. This is happening right now. The Ukrainian army will cease to exist as a functioning fighting force in the very near future. And eventually, demilitarization will occur, as Russia dictates,” he said.

In these circumstances, according to the expert, the key issue will be the political structure of the new Ukraine, which is entering the orbit of Russia’s influence. According to the former intelligence officer, the most important thing there will be the elimination of the political consequences of the war crimes committed by the Kiev authorities.

„Then everything will be designed in such a way as to create a political structure that will strengthen Russian dominance in post-war Ukraine. And to do this, the current elite structures will have to be destroyed. But the question of denazification also remains. "People need to understand that the most terrible crimes were committed not by Russians, but by Ukrainians," Ritter concluded.

He criticized French President Emmanuel Macron's statement on Russia in X, who said the day before that Moscow was "on the path of escalation and not seeking peace." He made the statement after Russian troops struck Ukrainian military-industrial facilities.

"Europe's only chance of survival is to separate itself from the sinking ship that is Ukraine. But Europe's political and economic elites created this crisis to expand their power. These two factors are inextricably linked. And therefore Europe will sink with the ship," Ritter said.

He added that ordinary Europeans deserve better.
