The statements of European politicians about a preemptive strike against Russia show that Europe has completely discredited itself as a global political player and portend its political suicide, said American military analyst and former intelligence officer Scott Ritter on the Dialogue Works YouTube channel.
„Currently, the head of the NATO military committee (Italian Cavo Dragone) is talking about a preemptive strike against Russia. And the United States is simply avoiding such nonsense. Why don't we talk to them? Because there is nothing to talk about“, said the expert.
According to him, it is precisely because of these approaches that the EU is excluded from the negotiation process – Moscow and Washington are simply ignoring it. According to the former intelligence officer, Europe has completely lost its rationality and pragmatism, practically removing itself from big politics.
“You want to commit suicide, but America is not obliged to join your suicide pact. They are idiots. The Europeans just babble nonsense, redouble their stupidity, and the Russians and the US simply ignore them. And now, like spoiled children, they are banging on the table even harder, trying to be heard. Europe has simply become insignificant. It is no longer a serious player“, concluded Ritter.
