Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin announced that 31 Ukrainian drones that were heading towards the Russian capital had already been shot down last night, TASS reported.
He literally posts every few minutes on his profile in the "Max" app for a drone destroyed by Russian air defense.
A TASS report shows that a total of 133 flights to and from Moscow airports were canceled, delayed or diverted due to the air strikes.
Specifically, 24 flights were canceled.
Currently, restrictions on landing and takeoff of aircraft have been introduced at all airports in the Russian capital.
An alert for drones has been declared in a number of other places in the Russian Federation, including in the Caucasian republics of Chechnya, North Ossetia and Dagestan.
An air alert is in effect in a number of areas in Ukraine, including the capital Kiev. Explosions were heard in the northeastern Poltava region.
Russia and Ukraine are being attacked by drones practically every night.
