The Times: White House wants to persuade four more countries to leave the EU - 1

The administration of US President Donald Trump wants to persuade four more countries - after London's Brexit - to leave the European Union in order to – "Make Europe Great Again", shows information from a longer, still classified version of the US National Security Strategy, published last week, the "Times" newspaper reported.

There are also proposals to create a new elite C5 forum, or "Core of Five" (Core Five), of world powers to replace the G7 and include America, China, India, Japan and Russia.

The four EU countries considered targets after Brexit are Austria, Hungary, Italy and Poland, according to leaked details published by the US defence website "Defense One".

The classified version of the strategy, which warns of "the erasure of civilisation" in Europe due to mass immigration and multiculturalism, is believed to call on the US to support parties and movements that "seek sovereignty and the preservation/restoration of the traditional European way of life".

The alleged document is likely to cause further alarm in Europe, just days after the National Security Strategy said countries such as France and Germany were "falling" due to migration and stifled economic growth, notes "The Independent".

A White House spokeswoman, Anna Kelly, denied the existence of such a version of the document, telling "Defense One": "There is no alternative, private or classified version."
