Moscow's Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports have suspended flights, the spokesman for the Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsia) Artem Korenyako announced via the MAX messenger.
“Temporary restrictions on the arrival and departure of aircraft have been introduced. The restrictions are necessary to ensure flight safety,“ he said.
The restrictions were lifted approximately 30 minutes later.
On December 12, more than ten drones were shot down as they approached the capital. At that time, Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky airports suspended flights while Sheremetyevo implemented the "Carpet" plan.
Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 235 Ukrainian drones at night.
“A total of 235 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed by air defense warning systems at night”, the military department reported.
The most were shot down over the Bryansk region - 35, Crimea 32 and Krasnodar Territory 22.
