Volodymyr Zelensky: Countries from the Coalition of the Willing are ready to send soldiers to Ukraine - 1

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that some countries from the "Coalition of the Willing" are ready to provide Kiev with support on the ground, Ukrinform reported, quoted by BTA.

Zelensky announced this at a joint press conference with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoff in The Hague, but refused to disclose details.

"You know that in the Coalition of the Willing we have over 30 countries, and each of them already has an understanding of its role or the volume of its supplies. Some are ready to provide only intelligence information, others are ready to send military personnel to Ukraine," Zelensky pointed out, adding that all this is described in a document adopted by the coalition. However, the Ukrainian leader stressed that the allied countries had agreed not to make this document public.

"This was a joint decision, which means that after this phase we will be ready and you will understand what each country can provide," Zelensky continued.

Earlier today, Ukrinform reported that British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that the coalition of the willing has prepared military plans to ensure the security of Ukraine by air, sea and land and to strengthen the capabilities of the Ukrainian army.

Ukraine needs "legally binding commitments," Zelensky also said at today's press conference. "There are many questions about how we can get protection without being a member of NATO", he added, quoted by DPA.

Zelensky also said that his country is having difficulty covering its financial needs and that it is crucial for the EU to decide on the use of frozen Russian assets. "I don't see any possibility of remaining strong without this support," Zelensky said, quoted by Reuters.

According to Zelensky, negotiations with the United States will continue in Miami, and a response from the Russian side is also expected in this round of consultations. The Ukrainian president noted that he will not attend the talks in Miami.
