Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said Russian President Vladimir Putin had not spoken by phone with US President Donald Trump since October 16.
Trump said yesterday that he had had a phone conversation with Putin, but did not share any details, AFP specified.
Peskov also commented on the possibility of a Christmas truce with Ukraine, saying that Russia wanted a peace agreement, not "a truce that would give Ukraine a break and prepare to continue the war".
After talks between the US, Ukraine and its European allies over the weekend, Peskov said Moscow had not received any new proposals but would analyze all new documents when they were received.
