Bogdan Rinzhuk, son of the Ambassador of Ukraine to Bulgaria Olesya Ilashchuk, was detained in Vienna on suspicion of murder, the Strana.ua portal reported.
Ilashchuk said that the situation should not be politicized, but that official data and court decisions should be relied on, and not on “emotional comments“.
At the end of November, a burnt-out car with a body inside was found in Vienna. It turned out to be the 21-year-old son of the Deputy Mayor of Kharkiv, Danilo Kuzmin. Police said he was beaten, forced into a car and set on fire.
According to a Ukrainian publication, there are two suspects in the murder, one of whom is Ilashchuk's son. Ukrainian media reports indicate that she is his stepmother. Bogdan's father is the well-known Chernihiv businessman Ivan Rinzhuk.
