Zelensky: Russia is not able to occupy the unity of Ukraine - 1

President Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Ukrainians on the eve of Christmas, saying that Ukraine is celebrating the holiday at a difficult time. Despite all the suffering caused by Russia, it is not able to occupy what is most important - the unity of Ukraine, Ukrinform reported, quoted by dariknews.bg.

"We are celebrating Christmas at a difficult time. Unfortunately, not all of us are at home tonight. Unfortunately, not everyone has a home. And unfortunately, not everyone is with us tonight. But despite all the suffering that Russia has caused, it is not able to occupy or bomb what is most important. Namely, our Ukrainian heart, our faith in each other and our unity," Zelensky said.

And that is why, the president noted, millions of Ukrainians will be waiting for the first star in the sky tonight - in the sky over Kiev, in Transcarpathia, in Odessa or Kupyansk, wherever they are. – – Ukrainians are together tonight - celebrating Christmas on the same date, as one big family,&rdash; Zelensky emphasized.

He also noted that the dreams of Ukrainians are similar these days.

– Today we all share one dream. And we have one wish - for all of us. – – – – – – – – – – – – – for all of us. "Let him perish," each of us may think. But when we turn to God, of course, we ask for something greater. We ask for peace for Ukraine. We fight for it. And we pray for it. And we deserve it," the president said.

In his address, Zelensky also said that at this moment, Ukrainians pray for everyone at the front - to return alive. For everyone in captivity - to return home. For all our fallen heroes who defended Ukraine at the cost of their lives. For all those whom Russia has subjected to occupation and forced to flee. For those who are fighting, but have not lost Ukraine in themselves - and therefore Ukraine will never lose them.

"Today we stand shoulder to shoulder. We will not get lost in the darkness. In person or in our thoughts, we will wish each other well, hug and warm each other, call our parents, kiss our children, hug our loved ones - and, of course, remember - we will remember all our people", the Ukrainian president emphasized.
