The Ambassador of Ukraine to the UK and former Commander-in-Chief of the country's Armed Forces Valery Zaluzhny is preparing to leave his diplomatic post in London in early January next year. This was reported by the Ukrainian radio station Radio NV, citing sources and quoted by Izvestia, writes Focus.
"A few weeks ago, Zaluzhny expressed his desire to resign to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky when he was in Kiev," the statement said.
It is mentioned that the President of Ukraine and Zaluzhny discussed other posts for him - from prime minister to head of the presidential office. However, it is specified that Zaluzhny did not show much interest in these positions at the time.
