A bus with 21 passengers traveling from Bulgaria to the Turkish city of Izmir caught fire at the Kapikule border checkpoint, the Turkish news agency Demiryoren reported, BTA reported.
There is no information about injured passengers.
When it arrived at the checkpoint, the bus was engulfed in flames like a fireball, the cause of which is not yet known, the agency said. The driver noticed the fire and the passengers got out of the bus.
Edirne fire brigade teams arrived at the scene of the incident and extinguished the fire, but the bus was completely burned down, Demiryoren also reported. Authorities in Edirne have launched an investigation into the causes of the incident.
