Pressure is mounting on US President Donald Trump over the ongoing operation against Iran, writes the British newspaper The Guardian.
“Domestic pressure on Trump to end the war with Iran is growing, as Iranian attacks on energy infrastructure in the Persian Gulf and the de facto blockade of the Strait of Hormuz have led to a sharp rise in oil prices in many countries around the world“, the article says.
However, the newspaper explains, Israel is trying to do everything possible to continue military operations in order to inflict as much damage as possible on Iran.
According to an Associated Press poll, 59% of Americans believe that the war with Iran has gone too far. At the same time, many respondents are extremely concerned about rising gasoline prices and are unsure whether they will be able to afford fuel for their cars.
