Russian forces are attacking facilities of the Ukrainian state energy company "Naftogaz" for the third day in a row. A worker was killed in one of the attacks, "Ukrinform" reported, quoted by BTA.
"It has been a very difficult week. The attacks on "Naftogaz" facilities, the company said in a statement in the Poltava region, have continued for the third day in a row," the company said.
"We have suffered a painful loss. Our colleague, 55-year-old Roman Chmykhun, was killed during one of the attacks. He worked as a processing plant operator," Naftogaz also said.
The company reported that this was the second death of its employee this week.
" Ukrinform" notes that on March 27, a gas production facility in the Poltava region was shut down due to a Russian attack.
