Kremlin: We will react if Ukraine uses foreign airspace to attack Russian ports in the Baltic Sea - 1

Russia will react if other countries allow Ukraine to use their airspace to launch drone strikes on Russian ports in the Baltic Sea, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said today, quoted by Reuters, BTA reports.

Ukraine has stepped up its attacks on Russian oil export infrastructure over the past month, carrying out its heaviest drone strikes to date – in more than four years of war – over the Baltic ports of Ust-Luga and Primorsk.

"If airspace is made available for carrying out hostile and terrorist actions against the Russian Federation, this will force us to draw the necessary conclusions and apply appropriate measures," Peskov said.

He announced that the Russian military is closely monitoring and analyzing the development of events and making recommendations that the Kremlin is considering.

Peskov said that work is being done to secure the entire strategic infrastructure, but at the same time he acknowledged that the facilities cannot be completely protected from "terrorist attacks".
