US President Donald Trump said that US military forces - ships, planes and military personnel - will remain deployed around Iran until they are sure that Tehran fully respects the ceasefire agreed to that day, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
"All US ships, planes and military personnel, along with the equipment and ammunition, as well as everything else necessary to lethally act and destroy the already greatly weakened enemy, will remain in place around Iran until the REAL DEAL is reached and fully respected," Trump wrote in his social platform "Truth Social".
The American head of state agreed to suspend the bombing of Iran for a period of two weeks, shortly before the expiration of his ultimatum to open the Strait of Hormuz, the deadline of which was 8:00 p.m. Eastern American time (3:00 a.m. Bulgarian time yesterday).
The Iranian FARS news agency reported yesterday that Iran was considering withdrawing from the agreed two-week ceasefire with the United States due to the continued Israeli strikes on Lebanon.
