An Iranian delegation will arrive in the Pakistani capital Islamabad tonight for talks on resolving Iran's conflict with the US and Israel, Reuters reported, citing a statement by the Iranian ambassador to Pakistan, BTA reports.
"Despite skepticism among the Iranian public due to the Israeli regime's systematic violation of the ceasefire (...) an Iranian delegation is arriving in Islamabad tonight for serious talks based on Iran's 10-point premise," wrote on the social platform "Ex" Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam.
White House spokeswoman Caroline Levitt announced last night that US President Donald Trump is sending his Iran negotiating team to Pakistan, led by US Vice President J.D. Vance. Levitt added that the first round of talks will take place on Saturday.
US special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner are also part of the team, the spokeswoman said.
