Pakistani authorities have allowed participants in the US-Iran talks in Islamabad to obtain visas on arrival. This was announced by Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar.
“Pakistan welcomes all delegates from participating countries, including journalists, arriving for the Islamabad 2026 talks. In this regard, all airlines are strongly encouraged to allow all such persons to board visa-free. Pakistani immigration authorities will issue them visas on arrival,“ he wrote in an email.
As Pakistani Foreign Ministry spokesman Tahir Andrabi later clarified, the simplified visa procedure applies only to members of the US and Iranian delegations and journalists. “This opportunity, granted for the duration of the negotiations, does not extend to third-country nationals,“ he stressed.
